LAW CHANGES
Massachusetts
Homestead Exception Increased
The Homestead Exemption has been raised from $300,000 to $500,000.
The new law is written to provide the higher homestead protection to
existing homestead declarations, with exception for circumstances
where a lien has been placed subsequent to the homestead and prior
to passage of the new law.
